Smith & Wesson 94 key question

Hello and Merry Christmas to all. I have Smith & Wesson Model 94 Handcuffs but there is no letter on the bow. There is only inscription (MF4). How I makes to have a key of replacement? I have the original key but I replacement wants some.

To ascertain the combination of the key you have, follow the chart below. ( I have a picture of the chart which is probably easier to understand, you could email me for a copy.)

The combination of the key is read by reading the cuts with the tip of the key facing away from your eye, as if being placed in the lock. ( not looking directly at the end of the key facing you ) The chart is read as you would view the keyhole directly and does not need to be reversed. The tumblers of the lock or the cut positions ( four) of the key are read clockwise.

INDEX= SLOT IN KEY
X=CUT
O=NO CUT

1-Index XOOO, 2-Index OXOO, 3-Index OOXO, 4-Index OOOX,

5H-Index XXOO,6L-Index OXXO,7D- Index OOXX,8 Index XOOX,

9G-Index XXXO,10E-Index OXXX,11R-Index XOXX, 12-Index XXOX

13N-Index XOXO, 14M-Index OXOX ,15-Index OOOO,16-Index XXXX

some of the above have a letter after the number (1-16, i.e., total number of combinations) This is the actual letter within some serial numbers ( credit to Joe Fox for that info )

Keys can be ordered via CGE ( Cannon's great escapes) magicduo@cannonsgreatescapes.com using the numbers as a reference as they have the same chart/list.

I believe number 7 listed ABOVE is listed as the D code. But that's ok, I see you wrote that 15 min's after midnight. My eyes do weird things to me too that late at night. Like with my posting (above). I was supposed to say the list "above" but I typed "about" and did not catch it till my message was posted.

But I would love to know if the other key codes 1 thru 4, 8, 12, 15, & 16 where ever given any letter Code names. Although I can't see how number 16 could have ever been used, since a key would not even need to be used to open them. (With all the pins already in the up position, just simply turn the lock, and the cuffs are opened.) And number 15 would seem to me to be the easiest one to use a big pin tube on, just cut one slot and insert and turn.

But I would love to see this list updated with any new info and the letter S, Thanks, James

I wrote down and drew a pictorial view of all the permutations of the S&W 94 for my own satisfaction. From two different keys I had, I was able to ascertain which combination when with each keys letter. My good and trusted friend Joe Fox had some other lettered keys and provide the rest to make the list as complete as it is now.

More information is welcome as to what other letters are out there and the combinations.
However as I supply keys cut to this list, I need to know for sure which combination goes with which letter and would need to see a photo of any new key and it's letter.

My 94 keys just arrived from Cannon's Great Escapes today. I ordered one of every 94 key he had. I must say I was impressed with the quality and workmanship, he dose a good job.

Now as for which code above is the S code, I can now tell you it is : number 12-index XXOX

So this should help anyone needing more complete info on the key codes.

It should read as:

Today I made a relacement key fot the Smith & Wesson model 94 handcuffs from an aluminium tube which are used for archery arrows (easton) or light weight shelters. It was an easy job.
