These look just like the ones on the bottom in the picture above. I do not have keys for these. Do you use a key and how. I found these cuffs in the Sheriff's office while cleaning and I would like to display them in a case there. But I would first like to know a little more about these antique cuffs. Any help would be great.

The keyway is through the chain shackle. Ifyou flip the shackle to one side, you will see a small hole. That's the keyhole. When it aligns with the innards, the key can be inserted. It tutns one way to double lock and the other to unlock. The H&R takes a unique tubular key with slots in the end. I bet you can get one from Cannon's Great Escapes, and probably from others.
The H&R was a neat cuff. I like them a lot. Unfortunately, they were expensive to make, and the stamped Peerl;ess pattern cuffs are apparently good enough.
