Yes that was a bit confusing and I am sorry to add to the mystery of this transaction.
Mr. Griffin and I began negotiating on this handcuff several days ago and came to terms last week.
Its appearance on ebay was untimely and unfortunate. I tried to remind Mr. Griffin that the cuff was still listed on ebay and it ought to be removed as soon as possible. He was not able to be reached directly so I left a couple of messages with him. When he was able to respond, he attempted to end the action, but somehow only the previous bids were retracted but not the auction itself.
I bid very high on it so that there could not be another winner for this item as it would be embarrassing and troublesome to explain to a different person that it was already sold. It would not be fair to either one of us if one could not end up with it.
I believe that Mr. Griffin tried his best to end this auction but he actually ended the wrong auction and subsequently had to relist that item all over again. Now he will have to pay eBay their fees for the Delestatius. He was also puzzled on how I was able to bid again after he believe that it was already ended.
I know that some of you think that there is some shady dealing going on, but this is how this one went and I feel bad that this was put out for those interested to bid on when it was really not available. Please do not have bad feelings for Mr. Griffin. This was not done on purpose or for any reason. It was just a mistake or lack of eBay mastery.
If there can be any good news out of this, I bought this cuff to replace another Delestatius from my collection. I will entertain any offers for that one or will be putting it on eBay. I will consider any trades as well. It is in excellent condition and works 100% perfectly.
