Where can I get my cuffs calibrated?

I already own a two pairs of Peerless handcuffs, I was just wondering if I could have them sent in somewhere to have calipers put on them. And if so can anyone tell me who I can send them to? I'm not really up for buying a new pair with calipers already on them.

I don't know that anyone does so. I suspect it would cost more than a new set of cuffs.

I suppose you could jerry rig a set of calibrations, with a vibro engraver. I don't know that the "calibrations" are standard between manufacturers, but you could still use the etched on numbers as an aide memoire, which is all the CCs are.

And if you can't fathom this, then you ain't a cop or anyone who had to use those damned things for their intended purpose.

I just hope no one ever starts collecting body armor (bullet proof vests to those who don't ever get shot at).

It seems that most suppliers of cuffs are performing this small task now. If you go on ebay there are sellers who bought laser engravers. These sellers in order to boost sells will put anything you want on the handcuffs there selling. And they will do the engraving for free just to get you to buy handcuffs from them. They will put your name, badge number, secret bed room nick name and even cuff calipers.

I'm sure if you contact anyone of them they would be willing for a small price to do this task.
