Hi.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about this item. It is very rare and equally interesting. It looks as though a piece is missing from the center. Maybe it was a key lock or some other release.
Any info would be appreciated.

at this point the only info that I have about them is that they are probably Russian, from tsarist era, that's what the seller wrote. The part that is missing is the plate with keyhole, they're sold without keys.
If you need any info, please specify what you need to know and I'll ask the seller.
