Hi everyone ! My name is Ron and I just found your web site. I have a newly found interest in collecting some cuffs and really need help.

Can someone help me understand the Model number and years that the Peerless Handcuff was manufactured ?

Example: the Models 300, 400, 500, 600, 700

What dates were these made and what serial numbers were used for each model.

Once again, this brings up the suggestion by Joe Lauher (reprinted below) of us collectors compiling some sort of listing of model numbers & serial numbers
of the modern cuffs...especially because the handcuff factories have proved little value in these matters.

"You actually have brought up an important point. There is not readily available comprehensive list of what one call the "modern cuff" designs. Although many of the participants of this forum have great knowledge of the subject, there is no written list I can refer you to.

Perhaps we should take that on as a collective project. Comprehensive model numbers, dates etc for the big companies. Peerless, S&W, American in the country. Modern Hiatt in Britain. Varous cuffs other cuffs in Europe."
