Yup those are Vitorworks. I was bidding on a collar from them on ebay through Austinate back in December. That is until I found out what they really cost. The collar at the time sold for over $300 US, not bad for something that cost $35 delivered from the manufacturer. Austinate once told me it takes about 8-10 weeks to get the stock out of pakistan.
I have a pair of darby cuffs from them that are really nice actually, scheffield pattern darby cuffs in a nice nickel finish. While certainly not old, they are nonetheless really nice cuffs.

Given the super high margins I had considered buying a lot of them to sell to the S&M market. As a result I still have a relatively current pricelist for their stuff.Not all that collectable, and since currently not produced not rare, but a nice product nonetheless.

Guess they'll never understand that in the real world free speech, no matter how offensive or stupid, is a cherished right, not a crime.

Funny, those kind of folks don't seem to get upset at all when one of their kindred makes some outrageous, or even outright lying statement about Christians, Jews or Buddhists. Or for that matter, murders any of them for the terrible act of disagreeing with them.

So what if I wanted them punished to the fullest extent of the law for their vitriolic, untrue comdemnation of the Danes on their web page? Would that be unfair or somehow more stupid than their foray into religious politics?

Isn't this the outfit that Rick Silmster, when he was still with us, had the horrible buccolic exchange with?

Now I suppose I'm going to get a fatwa proclaimed against me and get my house bombed.

on the one hand - like everyone who enjoys living in a democratic country - I am of course against those unacceptable demands like calling for death penalty as minimum penalty for blasphemy. The Middle Ages are long over!

But on the other hand I appreciate that Victor Works have weaken their original opening statement a lot. We cannot forbid VW to write such a declaration on their site but in the same breath demand the right for free speech.

I can understand that their religious feelings are hurt. Here in the West, especially in western Europe, the sense for religion is vanishing more and more and so such demands are strange in our eyes. But BTW replacing Darwin's theory of evolution by the Bible's genesis in biology books at school, like it is demanded by US Christian fanatics, is IMO not less strange.

And that you, "Sir Gitmo Hiatts", equate every religious Muslim with a persecuted terrorist is very dumb and does not help the international understanding at all!

yesterday I have seen a very interesting documentation on TV about Pakistan. Pakistan is chancing at the moment. They do the splits on the one hand keeping their traditions and values and on the other hand draw nearer to the west. Pakistani TV has a big influence on the people. Thanks to cable networks Pakistani people are now able to see Indian TV (almost the same language, so they can understand everything) and Indian TV is very modern. Moreover Pakistani TV (which is free and not controlled by state or religious parties) itself is getting more and more modern (informative, critical, even provoking) - this is no easy task, some TV productions even caused violent acts from religious fanatics but such violent fanatics are a minority in Pakistan. In this documentation about Pakistan you could see that the majority of Pakistani is very friendly, helpfully and hospitable. There is a very successful reality series in Pakistani TV about an Englishmen in Pakistan who tries to live like a Pakistani, its title is "George ka Pakistan". George said that wherever he was in Pakistan, he always made the best experiences - helpful, friendly people who tried to fully integrate George.

The world is changing, Pakistan is changing. So we need a little patient and should remember that the Inquisition executed their last death penalty in Spain in 1826 - Thats 180 years ago - only a small drop of time, considering that (according to current scientific knowledge) it is believed that the first men start to walk on Earth about 7,000,000 years ago.

My good God!

Whoever you are, I think you owe Atame a very deep and sincerely worded apology.

As a person whose inlaws are German, I can tell you that the word "Nazi" is about as offensive a term or insult that can be levelled at any Germanic person.

This is shameful!

IMHO, Atame was trying to present a tolerant view point showing that not all people are simply one way or the other.

You cannot paint all people or races with the same brush.

If more people thought the same way as Atame there would probably be less propaganda and far fewer wars and killings on this planet.
