#4Well Steve, if you are upset about my letting your gift go, all I can say is you did not complain when the gift of a Maltby handcuff (1/2 working)I received from you seemed okay when I offered it back to you some months later as a gift. Everytime that you came by to visit you would look at them and shake your head, and I thought no sense keeping them if you regreted giving them, so they went back to you.
I did not complain when several of the locks (from a large box full of locks)I once gave you as a gift wound up in a local antique dealers display case, always wondered what you traded them for but thought it rude to ask.
The concept of a gift is that it is just that, a gift, freely given with no restrictions or obligations upon the receiver.
If its any consolation to your vanity, I have kept the Harvard solid body cuff you made. As a further sop to your ego, I took it to the second annual escape convention (the last one in Indiana) and showed it to people and made it clear that I was impressed with it. And I am impressed, it was a good piece of work.
I have long since stopped being impressed with you.
