Looks like a no key, scaled down version of the Dollar handcuff to me. The pics on ebay are so dark I can't see much of them.

If I'm the Mark you refer to Joe then thanks for bringing them to my attention but I'd already tweeked the images in photoshop and came up with similar results to you. I have to admit that I have no idea as to what they are other than similar to Dollar.

The seller.... jalaludin, sent the Ethiopian Slave handcuffs in good time and I would give him my recommendation..... I was a little worried that they may have been some repro rubbish but I'm glad to say they not. They are not hand cuffs either but leg irons with a 6.5 inch chain. the hinges are a true backstrap design ie a tang has been bent over to form the hinge.No visable name at the moment but the number 0243 is stamped on both barrells.

Maybe this should have been on another thread.

If it's ment for another Mark then sorry to intrude.

My fellow Mark,
I believe it was me who Joe was referring to. I like to acquire the strangest of the strange and this piece sure fits. I have never seen such a thing. It looks like maybe some one got hold of a broken $ cuff and modified it to accept a padlock.
If a cuff is mentioned that is either a bargain, very unusual, or lost in LA, it usually will be brought to my attention.
We have 3 Michaels, 3 Joes, and 2 Marks now to make things interesting. We need a few more Stans, Gunters, Howards, Ians, Bruces, Ians, Steves, Brads and others to really get things mixed up around here.

Hi Joe,

Now even I'm loosing the plot. From now on I'll be RMP just to ease things.

All the talk about Ethiopian Slave handcuffs may be confusing everyone, but the seller of the Dollar ????? also just sold the Ethiopian Slave handcuffs which is why I thought you were pointing then in
Mark not Mark O---O direction.

Regards to all who have even the slightest interests in cuffs especially those called Mark.

These things look like modified Dollar cuffs made for perhaps escape work.

Like the seller says, all one needs to do is pull up on the lock hasp and they open.

That would mean it is just there for looks and would pull open even if it had a padlock on it.

My vote is Dollar cuffs converted for magical purposes.

Not a true restraint.
