My father-in-law was an antique dealer and before his death he had a pair of handcuffs and a key - and he then "lost" the key - we now have a pair of cuffs marked "Thompson" and a "1" without a key. Can someone on this forum tell me more about them, and were I might be able to locate a key or even a "repro" key that might work?

Your Thompson cuffs were made in Birmingham, England in the 19th century. They seem to have exported a lot of them to the USA, since many show up here.
