Hiatt handcuffs - copy or not?

Hi,

I have a pair of handcuffs, which I would like to hear your opinion on. They are very light and almost non-magnetic. The only mark is "HIATT" and they use a standard handcuff key. I am not sure if they are a cheap copy of the real Hiatts handcuffs..

They are probably real. You say that they are almost non-magnetic. Dose a magnet stick well enough to pick the cuffs up? My pair will get picked up.

Hi,

thanks a lot for your input. The handcuffs are almost non-magnetic i.e. it's not possible to lift them with a magnet.

I have my doubts that they are real Hiatts handcuffs - mainly because Hiatts is spelled "HIATT" on the cuffs and because there are no other markings like British made or made in England..

I might be wrong, but...

Hello Thor,

Hiatt was the marking on that product pre 1983.. I had a pair of Aluminum cuffs marked Hiatt. So in reality those are authentic. check out Vincula's Website to see examples..
