Price is always somewhere between the least that the seller will take and the most that the buyer is willing to pay.

That said, watching eBay lately, they have been selling for anywhere from $85.00 to $165.00, more or less. At gun shows or badge shows I am usually able to get $150-175 depending on condition.

So this is my suggestion to you: Tower DL's are very common, as antiques handcuffs go, but they are also what everybody envisions when they think of old ones, along with Darbys.

Thus condition is everything with DLs, people like 95 percenters, nobody wants to pay anything for a dog. Figure your condition and apply the percentage to the figures above. Original keys ALWAYS add a premium.

Also, just like guns, region makes a difference, although that is changing quickly. I live in California and pretty much just do shows here and Nevada. My prices probably wouldn't fly in Missouri or Montana. You also have to adjust according to economies.

Selling on eBay is more volatile than selling in person, but it's faster.

If you just want a flat answer, then the one preceeding mine is pretty good.

Thanks for your help. I'm looking to collect some basic brands and designs. I don't mind paying for a quality item but I don't want to be taken advantage of either. The Towers I'm looking at are in good condition but they were also used in prison which adds to the history. Thanks again, always a pleasure to here from someone who knows what they are talking about.
