Tarbell System Magic

Hello all,
I know this is not exactly on topic but I know there are some who visit us from the Magic area and though I would ask here. I have a book by Harlan Tarbell that was printed in 1926 with like 22 lessons in a book with the binding at the top that is screwed together. Also found in the book a page torn out of a publication called the Dragon but no date on the page to date it. The binding isn't in the greatest shape but the pages inside seem to be in good shape except the cover page and page 1. and the last page shows a hole in it from where something ate through it. I am wondering how much this is worth. Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure how much it is worth, but I could estimate quite a bit. The Tarbell Collection was my base of learning when I started. Keep holding on to it. If you decide to sell it, please email me. I will try to find out from a few friends who know more about the value of old books as to what it is worth for you.

I was tired when I wrote the message last night but there is hand written on the cover "File no. 2646", "Slippery Bill, and Queen Mary" and Vaudeville Co. On the inside is written "Property of MIchale and Bro, Vaudeville team, Magic, Illusionous, escapes, and vaudeville sketches, singing and dancing","Private secrets for Micheal and brown only. All Others Keep Out", M.+B." and a name that looks like Chris or Chars and ending with Dick"

The top bound lessons would be among the earliest one could find. I don't know how valuable they are today, apart from collectable. The original Tarbell magic course was sent through the mail a lesson at a time. Only later was it reprinted into the shelf of books every magician owns and none read.
