There is one thing we all need from the European Convention: a nice set of photos along with a good report of all the things we missed. I wish I could go, but this is a bad time to get away from work.

Hi all,

I am very much looking forward to spending a nice weekend in Antwerp.

Eurostar being even crazier than airlines (you may register your pocket-knife
at bargain 12 quid if you want to bring it along, as there is no hold luggage)
I opt to leave most of my real hardware at home (BTW, German airlines/ports now
again allow nail scissors, nail files and Swiss Army Knives and such on board).

Sorry, got carried away - Joe, I certainly bring my camera along, as I hope
to get some snaps for my wee virtual museum.

I have been to many conventions, gun shows and seminars in my life and almost every time the photographs are of people sitting at their tables and group shots of the attendees. While these are a fun reminder of the event and a great way for those that could not come to see what they missed, they lack in detail.
Hardly any of the photos show any of the nice or rare items for sale or display.
I know that all of us that are not able to make it to the show would love to see some pictures of the most unusual handcuffs or any interesting displays.
If any of you who are fortunate enough to go sees anything that strikes your fancy, please take a picture of it so us unfortunates here at home can see it too.
It will be appreciated by many!

I am seriously considering attending next years show, if one will be held.
My only suggestion would be to have it when school is out. It is hard to travel while the kids are in school.

Hi Mark,
I hope there will be plenty of items for trade so we can take a lot of nice pictures.
If there should be a convention next year (or the year after), I'll try to plan the date more carefully. As I have no kids myself, I didn't take that into consideration. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hello,

I'm also looking forward to this convention. I will bring along some items from my collection. I don't have some really rare items and so I don't really know which of them. Please let me know if somebody wants to have a closer look to particular cuffs in my collection (see http://www.handschellen.org/sammlung/ for an overview list click left on "Übersicht"). I will also bring along some cuffs to trade or sell. And my camera, of course.

There is one special interest I have: I have some Tower leg irons of which I don't know if they work or not because the key of my working handcuffs and leg irons is not the right one.
