ASP Handcuffs ???

Hi Guys.

I have a question. I've collected a few sets of cuffs now from Ebay... Peerless, Smith / Wesson, Hiatts, Chicago.

I'm now looking at ASP Tactical. Are they any good ???
What would you say is a fair price to pay ???
I can't seem to get much information regarding Model numbers. I'm looking at a chain link type 56101 Is that like their standard set ???
Are these as nice to opperate as I've heard ???

hi Ron

the asp standard are model number 100 their hinged cuffs are model 200
the asp cuffs are not so well made as they say
last weekend at the convention I got my pair of asp 200
then I did the same with the 200 as what I did with my asp 100
in less then 3 a 4 seconds I pick them with a small needle
even when they are double locked
I've show this to many people on the convention so they can confirm it

but if you collect them because you like them I would say take them they are unique I mean the design of asp

hi ron, the asp cuffs make a nice collectable, although, in my humble opinion, are the easiest "modern" cuffs to pick, the best price on these is from discount handcuff warehouse, a very reliable company, i recommend them highly. happy collecting, chris in canada.

I like the ones I've got, but I don't feel comfortable with the idea of anybody using them on duty. Which makes me doubly concerned that one police force in England is apparently planning to switch to ASP from the Chubb Arrest cuffs. No doubt cost has a lot to do with it, but why can't they just use Speedcuffs like almost every other British force...
