Good luck today to our many German friends as they watch their opening game of the World Cup. And my same good wishes go to our English and Swedish friends on Saturday.

As for Monday, well my Czech friends, it was nice knowing you.

Hi Phil,

frankly, the US team is one of MY teams! My colleagues and me started a championship bet, where we forecasted the results of all games of the preliminary round and also who will become first and second in his group. My bet is that Italy will be the winner of group E and the USA second. So you have to beat the Czech Republic 2-1 (sorry Josef) .

Sweden 0-0 with Trinadad &Tabago.

Hi Joe,

I'm sorry for being so unengaged in the World Cup since I'm very little into sports. Even may female friends knows much more about sport than I do. My late father was a real sportsman and very interested in all kind of sports, that might be the reason to why I am not.

The Czechs came to play. Not sure what our team was doing.
But those Australians were amazing, particularly during the last 7 minutes.

Well Joe, that'll teach you to say goodbye to the Czechs! Not really intro football, but my name came from there, so I guess I oughta support them!

They also make pretty good cuffs I hear.....(Thought it might be a good idea to mention handcuffs once in a while on this forum!!!)

I also aren't into sport but last night my time I watched the Aussies versus Japan (live). Nail biting stuff and in the last 8 minute 3 goals to Australia. Final score 3-1 and the ref has appologized for the foul on the goalie when Japan got their only goal.

Good luck to all supporting their countries.
This game should replace war.
Football or chess would be better any day.
