serial numbers of RCS / JG cuffs

I refer to a posting in the old forum concerning the RCS / JG cuffs.

Maybe that is of interest to anybody here in the forum:

My pair of these cuffs are stamped JG 1953.
Both keys and the cuffs are numbered "21 C/245".
Just have a look at the pics...

Your number certainly does not match the serial numbers reported earlier. However, the date is also interesting. The earlier dates were in the 1940 war years. But your example shows the company was still making cuffs in the 1950s.

So who is JG? we still don't know.

Of course it reads 1952, not 1953...
