Another dishonest ebay seller

I bought a cheapie Chinese cuff from tizzybea on ebay.
This is another example of the seller not using a picture of what he is actually selling.

The ebay picture shows the cuff has an unusual shape and larger than standard size. When it arrived it is a standard sized Peerless clone.
The seller said they only sell one cuff and that is what I got. They did offer to refund my money (less my expenses to get it back to them within 7 days.) At this point I am just trying to avoid negative feedback from the seller. I am not the first to complain to them about not getting what i ordered, so beware.

I think, if I felt cheated enough, I would have complained to ebay, and also filed a mail fraud complaint with the US Postal Inspectors. That should get their attention.

Just keep the cuffs and don't leave any feedback for the seller, they probably won't leave any either. Been there, done that!

With 122 negative feedbacks should give you a clue. As for the post office getting involved, if you paid with their money order OK. It really's not worth the aggravation.

I just had a lot of fun reading the feedbacks for this seller. Seems to have a lot of clumsy people unable to open folding knives without breaking them. seems they are all liars as well. I would take a guess and say bulk dealers really dont know about handcuff sizes.
Blamed customs departments for a lot of missing stuff too, and hurricanes....

I agree with Graham. Just don't leave feedback and you'll probably be okay. And it's not worth $19 of aggravation with the vendor, eBay, or the Post Office to do anything about it. Just chalk it up to one of those occassional bad experiences you're going to have on eBay. Balance it out with some of the bargains you get lucky on.

Generally, if anyone has less than a 99% feedback rating, I read many or all of their negative AND neutral feedbacks before placing a bid, then think long and hard about bidding. Age of their negative and neutral feedbacks is also a consideration. I've seen a few clean up their acts and do well after several months or a few years have passed since having a significant number of negative feedbacks.

I agree about the feedback. Seller has 122 negatives!?! While I know the expression goes "You can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time", you can should be able to get darn close. I personally pride myself in the fact I have 450+ 100% feedback. Never a neutral or a neg. Mixed buying and selling. It just takes a little effort and attention to detail.

Stan: I had a good look at the pictures and yes, it appears the cuffs had an unusually pronounced rear end to them, although I don't see the oversized 'large'ness to them... but I gotta ask (slap me if I'm out of line)... why bother with cheapie clones from such an obvious crappy seller?

I appreciate all the interest. I just wanted other buyers to be aware of this company. I sometimes buy the cheapies that look different from the standard cuffs to see what they are. I have not seen this exact style of lock case before and wanted to know why it is made like it is. You are correct that I should've known better than to deal with someone with so much negative feedback, but for $ 20.00 I took a chance.

I just looked at the seller and from the responses from the seller as well as the items. 8 nuetrals in the past 6 months and 14 in the past 12 with 6 negatives and 10 respectively. I got the impression they are asian(s) by the wording, and lie to protect there asses because they don't want negative feedback. I know I won't do business with them because I got the impression also all they want is the money PERIOD!
