Please help me find the value for these handcuffs

I believe these are tower handcuffs and I am pretty sure they are original. I friend of mine gave them to me a few years ago and told me they are antique. Both sides are in fully working condition. Any help is appreaciated. Thank you

They look like Towers. If my mouldy memory serves correctly, they're selling on eBay in the $175 range depending on condition. Do a search on eBay and see what completed transactions show. That's a good way to get a first approximation of a price on damnear anything.

It's not so easy to just look at compleated auctions.Sellers don't always know what they are selling so the listing may not say Tower in it. I just bought some cuffs that look like your photos for $103.52 and another pair sold for $88.
I'm new at collecting and I'm confused about how much or little some cuffs bring on Ebay.

Paul, those are Tower's "Double Lock" (3rd Model Towers). The case has the distinctive bulge at the bottom and most listers see the word "Double Lock" stamped on the case and include it in the description.

Now would be an excellent time to go to the article on this site about Tower's. It is need-to-know info and it's free. It's also very well and clearly written, with good pics. In fact you should print a copy of it and review it once in a while.

Learn to distinguish the later Union Hardware versions from the standard 3 ring versions. For some reason they usually bring more. Rarer, I guess.
