New Line/Brand? Of Handcuffs

#2I am not the master collector that some of the pople here are, but judging from the size of the key hole, these look like what New York City Police call "Toy" handcuffs. These can be purchased at any toy store for under $10 american.
Curiously, these cuffs that have been sold in the united states since I think the 1950s or 60s have changed the last few years. Recent versions have a silly lever sticking out the side that is an instant release. My guess is that the lever was added either due to lawsuits, or in fear of law suits.
Also the quality of the metal has dropped in the last few years from cast to pressed. These look higher quality then recent models.
Also, I may be way off base here, but that is how they look to me.

Honestly to me these Do Not resemble a Toy handcuff... That is why I asked the experts? Must be everyone is too busy?

#4Click to expand...well there are element of construction borrowed from S&W and the placement of the keyhole reminds me of the Spanish Star type of lock. Do you have more detailed pictures or a clue(s) of how the locking mechanism works.

#5Click to expand...I disagree that these are some sort of "toy" cuffs as has been mentioned.
They appear to be of far better quality as compared to the Takeda knock off cuffs.
The construction looks better and they even have ditched bows.
I do agree that the placement of the keyway seems to lend itself to a similiar mechanism as is found in the Spanish Alyclon or Fury single lock cuffs of the 1950's - 70's.
Perhaps they are of South American manufacture.
They seem rather like a Brazilian cuff I saw on Ebay once.

You have always foisted yourself off as an "expert" on cuffs (and everything else), and now you plead and whine for the experts to help you. LMAO!!!!!!! Maybe you're just too darn rude for people to want to respond to you with the answer. Ever consider that? Of course not.

I would also guess that the cuffs are from Brazil, since it clearly states on the box "Made in Brazil".

Fortunately, I am Unlike the number of Forum users who seek to cheat people out of the genuine value of their handcuffs and further to Deprive those that seek to educate themselves or to have a genuine exchange of information and ideas from receiving such.
Honestly, given the amount of educational & informative material available here; it truly amazes me that this FORUM does not have a Price Guide established for those who seek that OFTEN Asked & IGNORED information in regard to value.
This lacking information clearly points only to one thing; a conspiracy to prevent such existance of a Price guide!
It's much easier to cheat someone out of their items if they can't place a value upon it. Frequently people come upon this forum and their request for information (What's this Item worth) is Readily Ignored by the "experts".
This lack of a guide coincides with THE multiple Ebay user Identities of Forum members that "we" use to buy Items low and Re-sell them HIGHer with.
Personally; what I consider to be RUDE is the Hostile, Ignorant & prominent personal attacks which permeate this forum when certain people offer their opinion and/or experience when they are trying to address a question/post? E.I. Exactly what PONDER has done again! Shame on YOU!!
PLEASE, If you have something to Offer ON TOPIC IN REGARD TO the TOPIC please post it. The original topic is and was " Has anyone had an opportunity to own or see in person this particular handcuff?? Does anyone have any additional information on them?""

My reference to a particular post being COLD Like a Mortuary implies that the those in the know are all convienently hiding, Like ANONOMOUS, ANONOMOUSIE, or For that Matter PONDER Him or Herself!
Rather then taking the time to partake in exchanging genuine information you choose to offer another one of YOUR RUDE, IGNORANT and regularly Generated personal Attacks!! Hmmm, I Wonder?? For what reason?? And I'm RUDE or am I Just Honest?? Now, Let's Ponder that Question up Yonder!
