I have come across a strange set of cuffs. Patented is inscribed on one cuff, but there is no patent number on them. Otherwise they say only this:

GARDNER
SCREW CORP.
GARDNER, MASS.

Any ideas?

I have a few of these. I have found about 8 variations of these. Some are stamped metal and some are cast. Some are open ended and some are closed.
They were also stamped with Marx toy company markings.
Even though they are toys, they are among the highest quality toy cuffs made.
