Hiatts...soften edges?

How can I go about softening the inside edges of my Hiatts cuffs? I think they are a great cuff but the edges are just too sharp. Would sanding the insides down minimize the sharp edges? If not, then does anyone know a different method on how to do this?

If they are the standard swing throughs then there is not much that can be done because sanding it down will take the plating off and that will lead to further flaking of the plating. This has been a long time pet peeve with Hiatts for decades. This is from someone who remembers when S&W, Peerless and American Handcuff really had nicely rounded edges.
