Well, I am back home now from my 2 week media tour of Germany and part of Eastern Europe.
While in Prague, I did indeed visit the torture museum you mentioned Mick.
Having seen a number of other such museums throughout the world, my advice is that if you are looking to see authentic period instruments of torture and restraint, avoid the Prague museum.
While the admission fee was certainly affordable, the devices within the museum are by and large 99% modern made replias stressed to look old.
There were the usual racks, pillories and the like but they do not look that good.
Ian McColl could certainly tell them a thing or two on how to properly make such items look authentic.
The only actual old items I did see in this museum were a few sets of forged dungeon type leg irons that probably date to the early 1700's but even these were nothing really spectacular.
Heck, even I myself have a nicer collection of authentic torture devices and Medieval restraints than this place did.
On a more positive note, Prague has got to be without a doubt one of the most beautifull historical European cities I have ever had the pleasure of both visiting and performing in.
Plans are already afoot for me to perform again in Prague and I greatly look forward to visiting it again at my earliest opporunity.
