Im offering top dollars for a nice set of Phelps and Bean Giant.
The item must be in perfect working condition, no rust or pitting, no previous repairs.

Lars,
I hope you are able to make a suitable trade and get a nice Bean Giant.
Be patient with Michael. He will eventually respond to you.
I am still waiting for his response to my question from over 3 weeks ago.

it is kinda funny but sad that MIKE has time to post on this forum, but no time to answer MARK's email..... MIKE must be out trying to find & broker a bean giant as he is infamous for doing that... BUT he does come up with some great stuff......oh well... each to their own & whatever tickles your fancy......joe

Hi Lars,

I was wondering if you heard anything about your Bean Giants from Michael Griffin yet.
I am still waiting for a response from him from Oct 24th. We had line of communication going with each other and he said he would get back to me soon.
Maybe we will hear from him before the new year!

Hi Mark,

No communication with Michael so far. I would very much like to trade or buy a nice set of Bean Giant so I keep my fingers crossed that his reply will not take too long.
You know Michael a lot better than I do; do you have any explanation why it takes so long for him to respond?

No, I am at quite a loss to explain why his communications are so poor.

I bought a considerable amount of top quality items from him about 6 months ago and wrote to him when he had some other fine offerings and was very disappointed when he failed to respond to my numerous emails and land-line messages left on 2 separate phone numbers.
In Oct. I sent him an email about some other items that he was selling but his response had no substance to it other than to say he was aware of my interest. I have not heard anything since.
I was thinking that he no longer wishes to do business with me but I know of no reason why that would be.
Whenever I have purchased anything from him, he required that I pay him within 24 hours and I have done that each time with 1 exception and that was due to the bank being closed for a holiday.
If he has a problem with me buying from him, I wish he would he would write or call me privately to discuss any problems that I am honestly unaware of.
If there is no problem, he has shorted himself out of a considerable amount of money as I was extremely interested in quite a few of the items that he was selling and would have offered him more than what he settled on.

Lars, I hope you are able to work with him and get a chance to buy some of the nice items that only he seems to be able to find. A nice Bean Giant should be a walk in the park for him to find.

OK, I've been away and check in and see that I am persona non-grata around here, dang.

I don't have to hang around here and get treated like this, I can go anywhere and treated like this (tough room)

Anyway, I am very sorry for the percieved slights to some of you.
First, I know almost all of you and would consider you all pretty good friends. The only one I dont know personally is Lars.

Mark: I have never felt like not selling or trading with you. I forgot you inquired about those cuffs a while back.

Joe tanner: I dont know if I take offense to you saying Im infamous for brokering cuffs. I wasnt aware that is how you percieve me. It is not a standard way for me to do trades but, if you want to use that as your benchmark, I cant stop you

I travel extensively part of my job and do pick up some cuffs here and there.

Lars, i think you mentioned what you had for trade and nothing jumped out so I kind of forgot about it.

For the record I didnt know which bean giant to trade. I have one older small case model and one larger case model both, in perfrect condition

MIKE: it is up to you how you want to preceive what i stated, but all in all more power to anyone who can be the middle man & not have to tie up their own $$$ during a hopeful transaction..... heck, i have done it myself a time or two !! OK more then a time or two.... keep on trucken.... joe

Michael,

I am glad that there is or never was any problems with our transactions, once they occurred. I had to suspect that there was some sort of problem because it seems that you forgot about my interest in your sales not once, but twice. I missed out on some fantastic pieces that you were offering and you lost some money and my bid, which would have been higher than the ones you got.
Like I stated above, I left you more than half a dozen phone messages on two different voice mails and numerous emails, but somehow you still forgot.
Is there anything that I can do to cause you not to forget my interest the next time you have any offerings? You do have the knack for finding the most unusual pieces and I would hate to miss out a third time. Any suggestions would surely be welcomed.

P.S. Maybe you have a Lyon Presto handcuff that you can attach to a cuff that I am interested in. Then if you were to forget my interest in it again, this might help you remember to contact me before you sell if off .
