Chubb Escort Keys, 1980s Chinese cuffs?

I stumbled over a seller in the UK who has a lot of ten (10) keys for Chubb Escorts. I will try to get my hands on these, and if you're interested, I can sell them one by one. I only need 2-3(So, maybe let's not outbid each other : ) )I'll let you know if I got'em.

Hi,

These cuffs are known as the "Death Cuffs" from Taiwan.
If someone is taken to trial for a capital offense and found guilty, this style cuff would be placed upon them and their execution would often take place while still wearing them.
The handcuffs and leg irons do not use any locking device other than an aluminum or steel nail or pin which is inserted through a hole and hammered down into a groove on the other side. It is my assumption that the use of the steel pin was meant for a more permanent application upon the convicted. I am not certain if these cuffs are removed from the body after the sentence has been carried out. I do believe that they are locked on for all eternity as it is pretty difficult to remove them once installed.
The factory also produces a darby style version which would indicate a less permanent use of this cuff.
They used to be for sale on eBay about a year or so ago, but I have not seen any for sale since then.
There are one or two people who frequent this site that have been able to acquire these cuffs, so maybe they will contact you if they are able to supply or help you in any way.

I was able to get a few sets last year to offer to collectors.
The leg shackles came in 2 versions, the older one is lighter, slightly less than 3 Kg and the newer verison has thicker chains and weights close to 4 Kgs.
I have sent enquiry to my "supplier" to check if there is any available and hope to hear from him soon.

What you did was to offer to form a conspiract in restraint of trade. That is a violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act and probably other Federal statutes as well.

It is also a tort, subjecting you and any conspirators, possibly including the Board owners, to potential civil lawsuit.

They probably won't bother to come after you. It's obviously not worth the effort.

But offering to engage in criminal activity, and that's what it is, is probably a violation of this board's TOS. It is certainly a violation of the TOS of whatever hosting services hosts this board. If eBay security were to get hold of your message, it is well within their ability and percieved self interests to have this board shut down. And yes, they will do so.

If I thought you were discussing one of my sales in this manner, I suppose I'd consider ratting the messages out to eBay, as you would be attacking me directly.

As it stands, I don't have a dog directly in this fight, but this place is far too valuable to me to remain silent while it goes away.

All he said was "let's not outbid each other," which does not qualify as "conspiracy," "restraint of trade" or anything else. Except maybe Nifong, no prosecutor would touch this. There is no crime.
