#1It seems I have a potential French bidder on my French cuffs asking if I will ship there. Why is that? Is is illegal to buy police cuffs in France? It seems like it would be easier for him to buy them in his back yard.

#2I think several reasons can explain the buying of Frenchs cuffs to foreign sellers :
- In France, producers of professional "hardware" don't easily sell to "final consumers" : problems of accounting, not profitable, ...
- Only a few models are used at a given time (the winning manufacturer for the market equip all the French Police), and official hardware can't be sold to anyone during time of legal use : it stays nation's property.
- I presume there are very few collectors, so some models are rare on eBay France.
- It's legal to buy old cuffs (for actual cuffs, not sure), but not to wear them, as big knives, batons, and so on. French (and european laws) on weapons are very restrictive.
