Hamburg 8 Reproductions

Fellow escapologists/collectors,
I'm fortunate enough to have the most talented machinist and mechanical mind I've ever known as a friend and co-worker. We'd like to make a faithful reproduction of
Hamburg 8's but have no originals. I'd be very grateful if there is a collector in the Columbus,Ohio area who would let us measure their pair and examine them for the details of construction. We live in Mt. Vernon,Ohio which is about 50 miles north of Columbus.

I just want to bring to your attention that there already is a reproduction By Master Locksmith Ian McColl of the Hamburg 8 available via Cannon's Great Escapes (Mark & Shiela) for around $200.

I don't imagine you can reproduce a set any cheaper given the time and materials including a locking mechanism?
