what was the best deal that you just missed on ebay?

I was doing my usual daily handcuff search back about 4
or 5 years ago and don't know why I searched the ending
auctions first but after about 15 minutes when I switched
to the starting soonest auctions there was a pair of Tower
detective model cuffs with a $40 buy it now. They were
already ended. I missed them by 10 minutes..

I was up late (Pacific time too) and saw a nice pair of Adams handcuffs with swivels on "Buy it now". The seller had just posted it and I wrote to him with a question about shipping. He answered promply and I went back to place my bid. GONE!

Oh well, they fit in his collection very well too.

The Buy in Now feature is a bit of lottery.
I did indeed get the Adams with the swivel (sorry Mark), but I don't think I even saw an Adams on a large ring.

I had just missed out in a pair of American Hinge Cuffs N500. Luckily there was another pair up for auction ending a couple days later. I ended up paying almost twice as much for these than what the first pair had sold for. But finally obtained a pair though.
