Last chance to get Taiwan Prison Permenant Shackles

Shackling the long term or death inmate permenantly will be banned in Taiwan Prison, details can be found in the following reports, for English version, have to search the FHID site.

My contact in Taiwan says he is able to get the last lot (unused) of the wrists and ankle shackles before the new regulation applies. From then, all the unused shackles and those welded on inmates' ankles will be removed and destroyed. May be a few pairs will be kept in the museum.

The Taiwan guy has replied me with the following:

Hand or ankle shackles is US$150 per set (same price as what he offered before).

Item will be shipped directly from Taiwan to save the shipping cost via Hong Kong.

1 set of ankle shackles is US$40 (NT$1,260 for up to 3 Kg)
1 set of wrist shackles is US$32 (NT$980 for up to 2 Kg)
Combine shipping is US$$53 (NT$1,650 for up to 4.5 Kg)

Postage rates quoted are based on the Taiwan Post Office web site:

under "International EMS Rates" which is a recorded delivery service within 3 days after item posted (same as the service I used to send items).
