I've been watching the pair of Lyon Presto long chain cuffs on eBay. At that time they had 1 bid placed by one of the forum users. By my reckoning they should still have 3 to 4 days left but I may be wrong. Does anyone know if they ended early or did the auction run its course? Also if it ran it's course does anyone know the final selling price.

Try using a completed auction search. That should get your answer.

Thanks for that advice but it didn't show any listing for those particular cuffs. I didn't realise you could search for finished auctions. I spend long enough looking for those that are still running.

Mark,

Ebay will only search for words in the title for completed auctions. If you can think of a word from the title, it will cut the search way down.

Also, you may want to click "Watch This Item" at the top of the auction. Then you can check it on "My Ebay". Ebay will also notify you that the auction will close 4-5 hours before the end.

When this happens to items I'm looking for, most times someone has made an offer on the item and the seller shuts down the auction and sells it to them.

Thats the pair in question. There had been at least 1 bid on these cuffs before the listing vanished.

It's the second pair of Lyon Presto cuffs that appears to have ended early.

Petchi and I had a small discussion about the first pair of Lyon Presto that vanished off of eBay and directed my attention to this second pair that is now gone.
I would like Petchi and everyone else who wanted a chance to bid on this great cuff to know that not only did I NOT buy it, but I did not even have any contact with the seller in the first place.

Well, the way I've been successful in stopping the Vanishing Auction is by either bidding on the item early(low ball) or by contacting the seller and telling him that I will be bidding at the end of the auction. The later being the better option.

Sitting back hoping to snipe a piece at the last second sometimes works against you. Especially if the item has been pulled/sold before the end of the auction.

I have sent a mail to the sellerabout this sad situation. He send me an answer yesterday. He told me that yes He has sold the cuffs to a foreign collector...

NO COMMENT!!!
