now on ebay WTF?

I just logged in and saw the same cuff that mark just won last week for sale on ebay

it is a cool looking variation on the hamburg 8, at least to me it looks legit

The pictures are taken from the earlier listing. Mark has the cuff in his posession. The same seller is also listing the Romer leg iron I bought, with the same pics. Look at sellers other items. This is guaranteed to be a SCAM.

She offers free shipping on all items. Of course is it does not exist, it would not cost much to ship it.

This is obviously a scam. The original seller would probably be the only person who might be able to come up with a second cuff like this but this is completly a different seller. It is interesting that the Paypal guarantee is good for only $200. If one was to buy it at the opening bid of $500, the crook-seller would still come out with at least $300 in his pocket....if Paypal can even collect from him.
I will try to write to ebay and get the auction pulled, even for the small violation of posting an email address which is not allowed. The buy it off ebay offer may also disqualify the auction.

I guess since the 2nd high bidder blocking is working, this is the next new way to scam someone.

I agree with Mark.
Now there is no way for a collector to email his collector friends and tell them they are being ripped off, since we have no idea of who is bidding. The new policy also makes it easier for shill bidding. eBay will probobally spend more to find and pull sales by these new scams than they lost to 2nd chance offers off of ebay. I am also getting emails from ebay mail and regular email telling me that an item I listed was listed last week with the same pictures. They reference an ebay number that does not exist. if you answer the email it asks for your ebay name and password before you can send it.
I strongly suggest anyone using ebay download the ebay toolbar. It helps find phishing sites for ebay and paypal.

I tried clicking the URL and Ebay has already discontinued the auction, nice work guys...What was this user's Ebay ID? I want to make sure I watch out for his/her auction of future items so I don't get scammed.

I'm sure it is Maketrack, see the last part of the URL, it tells you who the seller is. All of his auctions have been pulled as of this posting. 0 feedback, I doubt he will reuse this one, just learn from his mistakes and go to the next seller's name on his list.
