Sorry to bother after te last mess I caused, but I'm looking for a littlehelp for you who are in the know. I just sold those Tower leg irons on eBay. Can anyone recommend the best method for shipping to protect thm? I mean to say, should they be coated in grease to protect them from rusting will in the postal system?

I've gotten cuffs in flat rate Priority envelopes, but don't like shipping them that way. The envelopes seem to just barely survive the ordeal. There's a small Priority mail box that will hold them.

I wouln't give them any sort of special treatment. If you insist, a light gun oil like Rem Oil won't hurt. I don't like WD-40 for that job.

I wrap in bubble wrap, but then again, I have a box of the stuff. It both protects from moisture and keeps them from rattling about in the box.

A Ziplock bag and newspaper will do just as well, and I'd not worry about omitting the bag.

I do like to pad them out so they don't rattle. No reason to give the buyer reason to suspect they were dinged in transit. If he doesn't think of problems, there's less chance he'll decide there is one.
