Sadly mark, this will be a no host event. This is one of the reasons I am looking for a nice yet lower end sort of restaurant. Also taking into account the gas you will be using to get here.

About a dozen or so of us Southern California types are raring to go to an escape convention soon.
We had a very enjoyable dinner and around the room discussion and presentations.
It was all documented on video by Jay Leslie and was fun and very educational.
Mark and Sheila demonstrated an excellent pillory escape and its ingenious secret. They also gave some insight into the Escapecon that is just a few months away.
Joe Fox showed us the correct way to present a cuff escape. That is a guy that nose!
Joe Marotta and friend talked about his record breaking feat that was performed at the Magic Castle. (Most cuffs picked in an hours time)
John Booth, whom I had never heard of before, but will never forget, was the highlight of my experience there. He is about 95 years young and was doing escapes in the late 1920's and 30's. He told stories about seeing all the great magicians and escape artists of the time. His is a very prolific author and has published 14 or so books on magic. A horrifying story of his milk can escape gone wrong was suspenseful and was complete with a happy ending. I hope he will be attending the Escapecon this year.
There were a few other attendees that also shared their expertise which completed out the night.
Thanks goes to Cliff who orchestrated the dinner. I don't think it took much effort though. Well, maybe he just made it look easy. I am sure the later is more correct.
We all had a good time and are pumped up for the Big Show.
