S/W Model 90's Double Lock mechanism either corroded or jammed

Hey Guys,

I wandered upon the bulletin board via a google search.

I recently obtained a pair of what Smith and Wesson Customer Service believes to be Model 90's. However, they seem to be in decent working order, except that the double lock mechanism seems to be either jammed or corroded (there is some minor rust on the cuffs)

Ive been trying to free the lock mechanism with some 3 in 1 oil and have been unsucessful.

I just want to confirm on the model 90's that the double lock is similar to the Peerless cuffs, with the push in pin.

Any other suggestions that may make these cuffs "usable" in the Law Enforcement Field?

Try some PB Blaster to loosen the rust up and try to gently tap the push pin to see if thay will loosen them up. and if you get them free, work the double lock carefully till it frees up. Wal-mart sells PB Blaster...

I was actually able to get the locking pin freed up with the 3 in 1 oil.

Now, I just need to keep working the cuffs and stuff!
