Romer leg irons

Hi, I have a pair of Romer leg irons and would like to get an idea of value. The nickel finish is quite worn and the brass is showing through. I do not have a key but the seem as if they would be operational if they could be opened. They are marked "romer & co newark n.j." and "Patented April 27 1880". Any info would be greatly appreciated. I can provide pictures if needed for a more accurate description.

I see no relationship between the price for the Houdini Romer and this Romer legiron. Romers in good condition are selling between $ 800 us and $ 1200 us.
This is a very nice item, but it looks as if one bow is bent.

I spoke with a friend of mine and he believes tha brass is pliable enough to correct the bow. Here is a better picture of the bend. Would they be worth 1200.00 with the bow corrected?
