Heinrich Hagge Factory

Related to Hagge's Deutsche Polizei handcuffs,I found following sentence on thehandcuffshop.com:"...Hagge have been making handcuffs since around 1937, based in the town of Bad Segeberg..."

It is known that the Heinrich Hagge factory took over the production of Deutsche Polizei handcuffs from Carl Reher in 1977, but which handcuffs did Hagge make between 1937 and 1977? Has anyone got a clue on this?

Hi Dirk,

thehandcuffsshop is simply wrong! I phoned with Mr. Hagge himself and he told me that he started making DP handcuffs in 1977 and took over this business from Carl Reher, who made the model after WWII. Until WWII DP handcuffs were produced by August Schwarz, Berlin.
