Hi,

if you by chance have friends in europe coming for a visit soon, check http://www.cuffsland.de - there you find them for about $200. But I guess the $20 difference to the handcuffwarehouse isn't worth the hassle - so the price there seems fair.

One advantage when ordering in germany: clejuso offers modifications on customer request. So for a small extra fee you could order them with a longer chain, or as a waist chain.

BTW: excelent choice, the clejuso 100s are an interesting series. My favourites from the clejuso range, even though No. 15 of course also has it's own charm...

I reply here because I think it better fits this thread. You wrote you'd actually prefer an 101 over the 102 now... Why that? I must admit - the 101 is a nice and restrictive cuff (even though it's possible to open it when you have the key without real problems), but in my opinion the 102 is the more interesting one.

Why? I think high security locks have more importance in chain than in hinged handcuffs - hinged handcuffs, when applied correctly, are very hard to open anyway, but they can't be used that well for longer times like in transports, where high security is of special importance. So I think the 102 (and 103) are the more typical high security devices from the clejuso 100 series, even though the 101 seems to be the most popular one.

The Clejusos 100 series is nice, secure and chunky, I'll give you that. I still think they're a failure, though.
the bow is very thin (on every cuff and the leg irons), hence not at all comfortable to wear. You need to insert a key to double-lock them. And small wrists are able to wriggle out of them. I don't know why Clejuso still go with the oval design, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I wouldn't take them into a warzone.

You should be able to get what you need from DHW. I spent a year looking for them and paid €90 or something for leg irons and handcuffs each (both used).

I'd say I like the leg irons most, I don't own a pair of hinged Clejusos. For any practical purposes, I'd rather go with a pair of Hiatt Speedcuffs.

Any other ideas?
