goncz cuffs

hi all, got talking to a fellow collector the other day, and the subject of goncz cuffs came up, i have two pairs of these in my collection,one nickle, one blue finnish, i believe this make is uncommon in the collecting world as they were not made for long,anybody else have these cuffs in their collection?, im just curious as to how many are out there, in collections,im not looking to sell mine either, before you ask!...lol...

thanks stan, i should have mentioned that both of my pairs are m-100, the nickle pair are marked LASD which i think is, LOS ANGELES SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT this, as well as the model number, are lazer etched on the lockcase, the blued pair are just marked with model number etc. i got these in the nineties from a very well known english collector/author!.

Most of the Goncz cuffs have the LASD or LASD-CST markings, since the cuffs were made on contract. 2 of mine are marked LASD-CST.

My pair is marked 'GONCZ','PAT PEND', 'MADE IN USA' and 'LASD-CST'. Serialnumber is 2241.

thanks for the posts, i guess goncz only had the one contract then,or did he?, forgot to mention the CST part after the LASD, what does CST mean?, my blued pair also have PNP stamped into one of the bows, not lazer etched, but stamped in, any ideas anyone?.

PNP stands for Policia Nacional del Peru. They were sold to the National Police Force of Peru. About 20 of them were sold privately.

thanks for the info, it would appear that my blued PNP cuffs are a rare thing, only twenty?, who else has one of these cuffs?, (apart from peruvian police officers!)...lol... were there any nickle versions of this cuff?...i understand that a single link chain version was available, marketed as a "semi hinged" model, as there are no swivels in these cuffs, is this correct?.
