new LIPS DL handcuffs

hi all

I've got the new lips hinged handcuffs with DL markings
they came out januari of this year I'm the first collector
who has these cuffs
I'm trying to get more of these but it is dificult
lips is just like hagge and is not for sale for us only for police officer
and security who works for dutch gouverment

the DL logo stands for division logistics

when I've got more of these cuffs let you all know

hi

these cuffs are almost the same like the older lips hinged
only the have a very smooth action
I know there is a new model lips comming out soon and with these
change of markings they wil start with it
but for the rest is it the same cuff and the pair I have are keyed alike
but there are also DL LIPS with other keys they told me
there must also be a new pair soon with a chain connection but these one sould be for international market don't know if they are n.i.j.
from what I know for now is that they busy with it
for what is real or what is rumours I don't know
I've got my information from a dutch police man
I try to verify with the lips factory if I can

Hi,

I always have to check back what the exact relations between LIPS and "Heinrich Hagge Geraetebau" are and were, but as there obviously has been cooperation in the past, I can well imagine that this misterious new LIPS chain model has similarities to the new (and also unreleased/unfinished/not-in-production-yet) Hagge "Form F" chain handcuff:

The new Lips handcuffs (with MVD and DL markings) are exactly the same as the current Lips INT version (with serialnumber at one site of the cuffs).This model is a copy of Hagge's form C. INT stood for Police Intendance; this departement has been renamed recently in DL (Dienst Logistiek - Logistic Service Departement). MVD stands for Ministry of Defence (these cuffs are in use with military police and army security personell).

In 1978 the Dutch factory Lips was asked by the Dutch Government to develop a well-functioning pair of handcuffs for the Dutch police forces. Lips started to co-operate with Heinrich Hagge Gerätebau (who took over the production of 'Schutzmarke Deutsche Polizei' (trademark German Police) handcuffs by Carl Reher a year earlier).Hagge produced the parts for Lips handcuffs (including the Lips markings) and they were assembled by Lips in Holland until around 2001. Nowadays all Lips handcuffs come straightly (and ready for use) from the Hagge factory, for economical reasons only.

hi

the lips chain cuffs what is comming out are the hagge form f
cuffs on their site
so that is nothing special
the new lips cuff hinged would be different from the ones they have now
only my info was a little wrong
they made now a proto type who will come out late 2009 or 2010
the only thing I can say is that I designed most of the parts of the new lips cuffs but didn't know when they use it or if they want ot use it
now I know
I coctact the person at the lips factory and he told me this
the only thing is the chain cuffs are for international marked not for holland and are restricted just the new lips cuffs are restricted to
but for the on who want to
I've got one new lips DL cuff to sell or trade
