Hi everyone

On Friday 19th October I will be attempting an escape in Blackpool England. No details will be forthcoming about the nature of the stunt for now, but I promise, you are going to love it. Watch this space

The stunt on the 19th will be broadcast live on UK television, and later broadcast internationally.

Sorry, but there will be no crowds for this, its for TV only. For various safety reasons. So on the day there can only be a small invited audience.

By the way - Doesn't this ride look like SO much fun.

Nice little story in The Blacpool Citizen, but I must point out that David DeVal DID successfully escape from the Revolution coaster 23 years ago. I know, I was there!

Regarding David Straitjacket's escape from Infusion, I was also there today, and no doubt David will be posting the full story here soon, but I'll also say "well done David!"

Great job David!!!!! I would like to see any video footage (if it was recorded) and more still pictures as well. I was glad to hear that this was done as a tribute to David DeVal....he was a great man, escape artist, inventor, author, and he will forever be missed. Again, GREAT job David (and Mick)! =)

Hi everyone

Just a very quick message to thank you all for your support, and to thank Mick for a great challenge.

To answer Michael's question, yes, it was very well recorded. There was a freelance cameraman and the parks in house crew, who were there to record footage for the news programs (some of which has already been broadcast, though I didn't see it). I can't go into the details of why the event didn't end up going out live, except to say that I pulled out of that in favour of having my own crew there filming for something which will be a lot more special than a simple one off live broadcast. So they were there with 5 cameras, we also had two on board cameras, so every single part of the escape was very carefully recorded indeed. I have seen some of the footage already, and it looks fantastic! When it is used it will also give me the chance to properly cover David's career, I am already in the process of contacting the bbc archives to ask for the rights to use the footage.

I have already sent an email out to that paper asking them to correct that mistake! As you might remember Mick, their facts were a little off on the day anyway.

There was also a good selection of local and regional press, two national press (which I think will be out tomorrow) and two radio stations, one of which (bbc) did a live broadcast of the event.

Good job mate, looks scary as hell, and sounds worse. Can't wait for the full on video. but you've got the same problem I do, what will you after that.
