Italian handcuff info

This is a cuff I just got from Italy. I can't read the word in the diamond. It might be Romisa or comisa, or it might end in h. Anyone know anything about it ? It is very nicely made. I want to think there was a similar one on ebay a few months ago, but it was marked different from this one. Brev. means patent, and I can't find a European patent with the number on the cuff that is for a handcuff.

Stan, think you will find the company is BOMISA, back in 1980 I did order 5 sets of their handcuffs and was very dissapointed with them - no markings on them at all and they were basically a Peerless type copy.
The comapny was:
Bomisa Bottoni Minuterie S.p.A and their address was in Milan.
They were quite cheap a mere 29,000 lira (I think that was about £8-)
Will send Joe a copy of the original invoice which hopefully he will be able to attach.

Dear friends,

I was recently able to add this Bomisa gang chain / restraint system to the collection. It consists of a metal box, with several handcuffs, steel cables and locking boxes. The quality of the cuffs and the system seems decent. One box lock is jammed. They came from Lithuania, and were supposedly discovered in a used car that came from Italy.

Seperately I also got one multiple-hinges handcuff that I had not seen before and one high security handcuff that also has a chain gang lock. The first has a flattened bow and a push-button double lock.

What a great find, I believe that Bomissa went out of business several years ago. I do not know of any other Italian Handcuff maker and think the Italian Police use Spanish made cuffs.
