#1I was wondering if this old Peerless Handcuff box I have
is of any value to a collector?
It is a brown box 5x3 1/4x1 inch. The finish on the box
is made to look like alligator skin.The end has a Sticker that says "One Pair" - PEERLESS HANDCUFFS-NICKEL. Written
in ink is the number 263100.
On the inside of the cover is written: To Double-Lock,
Press tip of key in Plunger Hole on Top Edge of cuffs.
To Unlock: Right Hand Cuff When Single Locked-Turn key one-Quarter turn to left.
When Double Locked: Turn key one-quarter turn to right to release double-lock,then one quarter turn to left to
completely release;
Left Hand Cuff:Turn in opposite direction to above.
CAUTION: Oil locking mechanism as you would your gun.
If these handcuffs are never LEFT double-locked when NOT IN USE,they will always be ready in an emergency.
