Stamp on my S&W cuffs Mod.100

I got a pair of used handcuffs Smith&Wesson Mod.100 from Ebay. They are manufactured in Houlton Me.
On one frame ist the stamp "Nds" in a square.

Does anyone here knows what it means ?
