Lockman the Magician Mummycase and marquis

Hey everybody out there.

I'm Earl Lockmans grandson and I own the Mummycase and marquis that was used in front of the theaters that my grandparents performed at. The marquis has several photos of the handcuff collection as well as the "Pagoda". The Mummycase is approx 5.5 ft tall, large enough to accomodate my grandmother. I can send pictures to anybody interested.

Does anyone know of the best place to auction this off? I care for my ailing parents (Earls son) and the time has come to sell this piece of artwork for the right price, as much as I hate to do this.

Try Ebay tomorrow. You can list any item for ten cents tomorrow only. Put up the pictures(very easy through Ebay), a description and the price you want. All you have to lose is a dime and some time.

I would just like to say that I have dealt with the Lockman family several times now, and they are terrific.
I am amazed at the artwork on the mummy case, which is all Earl's handiwork as well as being built by him. I have a photograph on which Earl mentioned that he redesigned and improved the case in the late 1920s
That marquis is great - also built and designed by Earl!
I am proud to have Earl's postcard collection, a portion of which I brought to the convention in October, as well as a lock Earl gimmicked. (Took me awhile to figure it out.)
I envy whoever acquires this material, we are not going to see anything like it for a long time to come.

It's really not a marquee, but a lobby board. It's a very nice piece, but I'm trying to stick to HH only.
