Hello - I'm new to this site and was hoping someone might be able to help me with a little information about these cuffs. They were found in an attic (yes, really) with a bunch of other items that predate WWI. I've never seen anything quite like them - they seem fairly crude so I thought that perhaps they were home-made, but there seems to be part of a name on them - "Mapris" or something like that. I'll see if I can figure out how to post the pictures below. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

#2Modern, made in India, and the stamping that was added in an attempt to increase the value of this knock off in it's full form reads "Yuma Prison".
Worth all in all about $20.00 on a good day.

I have almost the exact same pair which I bought from an antique dealer/importer back in the early 1980's. I was told that they were new at the time and imported from India. I bought my pair for $25.00 back then and the lastest ones are cheaper still when bought direct from the manufacturer.
