Hiatt Handcuffs - Are These Late 1800s Darby?

I'm clearing out an estate and have found these handcuffs in an old tool trunk. Marked with impression HIAT (and a top of what looks like another T and the number 164. Pictures shown are lightened to show detail - actual color is is very dark brown. Quite heavy for their size. Measure 9 3/4 inches end to end. They look like a pair in your gallery for HIATT Darby late 1800s. Are these the real deal?

Your cuffs are just fine. They are from the 19th or early 20th century.

...and now they are on eBay (minus the key), where, unlike those fake Billy the Kid leg irons, these actually were used by the Sheriff of Nottingham to take Robin Hood into custody. Good Robin escaped, though -- and this was long before Houdini -- giving rise to the term Hoodlum.

Well....wouldn't that make a nice little "historical" addition to my listing. LOL

Yes, I'm cleaning out an estate of a seemingly endless pile of things that has accumulated over a lifetime....and is still ongoing and will be for the next several months. These were in a trunk of old tools, cigar tins and boxes, and intersting old junk. The key could probably be there - I have a bunch more things to go through and I am quite certain they didn't throw anything away.

Given that handcuffs aren't in my line of expertise, I had sense enough to come here to actually find out what they were, unlike some eBay sellers. I'm pretty honest folk.
