Guess those Cuffs - fresh from the Flea Market

I actually got these on the flea market today. One lock is missing. They seem to be an early form if Hagge or Deutsche Polizei, my guess is around 1900 to 1925. I have never seen this kind before. No markings that I can see.

Hello Nils,

surely no Hagge, because Hagge started producing cuffs (Deutsche Polizei) in 1977. Before Deutsche Polizei were made by Reher and earlier (until the end of WWII) by Schwarz.

But I do not believe that these are Deutsche Polizei cuffs. I rather think that they were made by Otto Schlüter in the 1930s or 1940s, because the Otto Schlüter cuffs are very similar - please compare your cuffs with Michael Busch's Schlüter:

Thanks Guenter, I appreciate the info. The key looks interesting (mine came without one). I was surprised how crude they looked, and there seem to be no markings whatsoever.

Hello Nils,

you can easily make a key yourself by taking a GDR Vopo key and cutting away about 1mm of the tube (but not of the key bit).

Congratulations...you own a beautyfull pair of rare handcuffs
