While I have no interest in Houdini what so ever I do know that a lot of other users do, including the creator of this site.

Unfortunately it's Anonymous posters like yourself that run the risk of ruining this site. In the several years I've been a member of this forum I've seen a decline in the quality and frequency of posts and many of the people with knowledge and experience who used to contribute simply don't bother now because of sad individuals like yourself.

Joe, is it not possible to make it a requirement to be signed in before you can post?

Kevin, I appreciate everything you bring to the table here, so I say just ignor the little troll and carry on. Houdini is very much tied into handcuffs, (no pun intended) more so than most any other individual in history, so I don't see a problem with what you are doing. (my thoughts)

I've previously made the suggestion to Joe that it would be preferable to have contributors signed in before they can post and I seem to recall that at the time he had a reason for not wanting to impose that restriction. They have a mandantory sign in (to post messages) over at the Tragic Cafe', but that has not stopped the trolls from reining havoc over there. I believe that some of the trolls from over there have made their way here because one of their biggest targets for their attacks is banned and I, being their other big target, refuse to post or for that matter even read that nonsense anymore. The trolls LOVE drama and if they can't get it where they are at, they will seek it elsewhere (here, for example). They have even sent me a boatload of personal "anonymous" hate e-mails (they are forever the insignificant little phamtoms). They sent them to my main e-mail address when I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of responding to the BS that they were spewing on the forum(s). The BS was so bad, that this is the only forum I post on anymore.

The fact is, the internet has given everyone in the world a voice and some pinheads choose to use that voice to anonymously bash handcuff collectors and Escape Artists on public forums. Sad but true.

Just ignor them......they hate that.

To all - I could indeed require registration for posting, but I do now want to do that because many of our most interesting posts come from first time visitors to the forum.
