Securitech Rotary Cuffs

I just purchased a set of Securitech Rotary cuffs and would be grateful if anyone can fill me in on the history and dates of manufacture, etc. Any information would be helpful to maintain the history of this cuff.

Stan-I have seen the page you are referring to and it is quite informative. The bio of Steve is also quite well written. Both worth reading.

However, the cuff I have is not listed in the article. Was this a one of a kind experimental model or actually one that was produced by Securitech or another company for them?

Hopefully, someone out there should know.

I made 5 of these cuffs.

I believe I have the parts here for more but only 5 were assembled.

They are single locking only and take a bit key.

All the parts were laser cut steel and the case as well as the pivot rivet are welded in place for strength.

The cuffs were made from 1/4 inch thick steel plates and I made this cuff in 1997.

Along with this design my Titan design was also fabricated at the same time.

In fact, it was the bow arm shape of the Titan that I used as a pattern for the arm of the rotary cuff.

How about posting a picture of the original key?

Or the dimensions of the key from your original drawings.

Sadly I no longer own a set of these.

So, I no longer have the key.

It is a real drag and I now regret it but most of my original designs no longer reside here as a part of my personal collection.

That being said, the key in the pic is the original key.

I remember using filed down skeleton keys for this cuff design.

Thank you for the information. As a collector, I like to know as much as possible about the cuffs I collect. In most cases, as we all know too well, information is hard to get if not imposible to find.

I really appreciate your information on this cuff and your other postings in the Forum.
