Opinion of these Caveney-bottleneck hand cuffs

My mother-in-law would like be to help her auction off these Canveney bottleneck hand cuffs. They've been in the family for something over 50 years and we have every reason to believe they are authentic but I'm less certain about the key. Opinions? Any suggestions how best to have them auctioned?
